  100% they will try to sell you stuff you don’t want or need. I had a little nail in the middle of my tire so I went in to get it patched. Instead of just doing it they tried to sell me new tires I didn’t want or need. I explained I knew the tires were good for another several thousand miles at least and still they kept trying to sell me new tires. So I said, “ok, well I like to wear them down a little more before I replace them. So can you just plug it and I’ll come back next month to replace them.” Still the guy kept trying to sell me new tires, telling me all kinds of bs, about tire regulations in New Jersey even. Finally I said, “look, I want the tire patched and I don’t want to buy new ones today. We both know they’re fine to be patched and if it’s not dangerous to drive on them then there is no reason you can’t patch them.” And still he insists the tread is almost to the point of replacing the tires so I should just buy new ones now and he’s not going to patch it. So I said fine, I’ll do it myself and I went and bought the plug and fix-a-flat and did it and now I’ve driven on it unbalanced for 3000 miles and it’s still going strong, probably get another 4000 miles out of it. These guys are crooks.
